Cuts and shape

Short cuts, tapers, layers, bobs and dry cuts on curls, for every length of hair.

Giovanny, Consuela and Florine do most of the cutting here, and Mihee plans a cut with your color. Each of us cuts for the hair in front of us, whatever your age, length or texture.

  • Scissors, razor or clippers, whichever suits your hair

  • Dry cuts on curls and coils

  • Bang and neckline trims between cuts

What happens

How a cut goes

  1. 01

    Step 1: Talk it through

Your stylist asks how you wear your hair, what bothers you and what you'd like to change. About 10 minutes.

  2. 02

Step 2: Wash or cut dry

Most cuts start on clean, damp hair. A dry cut on curls goes straight to the chair. 10 to 20 minutes.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Cut and shape

Your stylist works around your part, your crown and the way your hair falls. 30 to 45 minutes.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Finish and style

A blow-dry or a set, and a few minutes on how to do it at home. 10 to 15 minutes.

Good to know

Before you book

  • What sets the price

Length, density and the technique set the price, and so does which stylist you choose. The booking page shows it before you pay anything.

    How pricing works
  • What to bring

A photo of a cut you like, and a photo of one you don't. Wear your hair the way you usually do.

  • Results vary

A cut sits differently on every head of hair. Your stylist says what's realistic for your texture and growth before cutting.

Who does it

Who cuts here

Giovanny and Consuela cut the most. Book either, or ask Florine for natural-hair shape.

  • Giovanny Zubia, in a dark tee, smiling beside his chair in a bright room

    Giovanny Zubia

    Stylist

    • Cosmetologist license · TN License no. 000000

Giovanny does short cuts, tapers and clipper work, and dry cuts on curls. He is the newest chair in the room and has openings for new clients. He is glad to say when another stylist suits your hair better.

  • Consuela Melton, with a sleek bob and a navy shirt, holding a comb beside a row of styling chairs

    Consuela Melton

    Senior stylist

    • Cosmetologist license · TN License no. 000000

Consuela cuts bobs, layers and blunt lines, and presses and blow-dries hair smooth. If you want a shape that grows out well, she starts by looking at how your hair falls on its own.

Questions about this service

Do you cut dry hair?

Yes. Giovanny and Florine cut curls dry, curl by curl. Tell us when you book, and arrive with your hair the way you usually wear it.

How often should I come back?

It depends on the cut. A short cut or taper stays sharp with a visit every few weeks; a long layered cut can wait much longer. Your stylist will suggest a schedule.

Can I just book a trim?

Yes. A bang or neckline trim is on the menu as an add-on, and returning clients can book a trim without a consultation.
